The short version

This app has no servers. It collects nothing about you, sends us nothing, and has no way to — there is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no address of ours for anything to be sent to.

That is not a promise about our intentions. There is no code in this app that transmits anything to us, because there is nothing on our side to receive it.

What stays on your device

All of it lives in a database on your phone. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

This applies to the free app and the paid app alike. They are two separate apps with two separate databases: nothing is shared between them, and neither can see the other's data.

Your API keys

Keys you paste into Settings are stored in your phone's system keychain (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore), not in the app's database. They are tied to that device, kept out of encrypted backups, and leave the device only inside a request to the service that issued them.

We never receive a key, and we cannot recover one for you if the device is lost.

The file you export

Settings can export your channels and favourites to a file. It holds what you follow and what you search for. It does not hold your API keys — those stay in the keychain and never enter the file.

The app writes the file inside its own storage and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice, and once it is there, it is governed by wherever you put it — a mail provider, a cloud drive, another phone — not by us. We never see it, because there is nowhere of ours for it to go. (The copy the app staged for sharing stays in its cache folder until the system clears it, and goes when the app does.)

This file is also the only way to move your data to the paid app: the two are separate apps with separate storage, and there is no account or server of ours to carry anything across.

What leaves your device, and to whom

The app talks to the services below directly, on your behalf. We are not in the middle of any of it — which also means we cannot shield you from it. Each of these sees your IP address and the ordinary details every web request carries.

WhoWhenWhat reaches them
Google (YouTube Data API)You search YouTube by keywordYour YouTube key and your search terms
SerperYou search TikTok or the webYour Serper key and your search terms
YouTube, TikTokA video plays in a cardAn ordinary visit to their embedded player, including any cookies it sets
Sites you followA followed link is refreshed, or an article is openedAn ordinary request for their RSS feed or page
Platform image serversThumbnails are shownAn ordinary image request
Apple's or Google's storeYou tap a link to our other app (free version only)Your phone opens the store's own page. We send nothing with it, and get nothing back — we cannot tell whether you tapped it

Each of those companies has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with what it sees. We have no visibility into that and no control over it.

Where YouTube offers it, playback uses youtube-nocookie.com, which reduces — but does not eliminate — the tracking an embedded player performs.

The AI helper

When setting up a channel or an API key, the app can copy a ready-made question to your clipboard for you to paste into an AI chat of your choosing. The app never contacts an AI service itself. It only puts text on the clipboard. Whatever you paste, and wherever you paste it, is between you and that service.

Children

This app is not directed at children, and collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what you agreed to will also ask for your agreement again in the app.
